The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department services the following 25 cities in San Diego County both in the incorporated and unincorporated cities. San Diego County Sheriff’s Department operates the San Diego Central Jail, the Vista Detention Center in Vista, South Bay Facility in Chula Vista, Las Colinas Women’s Facility in Santee and the East Mesa, George Bailey Housing Unit in San Diego. The San Diego Central Jail is both the Intake and Release Center for all arrestees brought into the San Diego County Jail system.
When my family member or friend is in custody in San Diego County, how long will the process take to get him/her released?
At the San Diego Central Jail, it will take four to six hours to book an arrestee into the system. Once we have obtained the arresting information and bail amount, we will send one of our highly trained agents to post the bond for the release of your family member/friend. Normally it takes from about six to ten hours, and possibly up to 12 hours, depending on how busy they are, to release the arrested individual. The other detention facilities within San Diego County also books arrestee’s and releases them out on bail. The East Mesa George Bailey Facility is mostly a housing unit, but does accept bail bonds if an arrestee is in custody in that facility

How do I find out if and where my family member or friend is being detained, or if they have a bond in San Diego County?
You can contact our office as soon as you believe your family member or friend has been detained and we will begin the investigation into his/her status immediately and usually have a response within a short period and will contact you with all pertinent information so that the bond can be posted right away.
How soon after a person is taken into custody can I bond them out in San Diego County?
As soon as you contact Premiere Bail Bonds and we obtain the information we can get your family member or friend released from jail. Usually the person who is taken into custody will know his/her bail amount when he/she contacts you for your help. Contrary to what most of us believe, you do not have to wait for a bond hearing in the courts. So the sooner you contact us, the sooner we can get them released from jail.

Use the US-101 South. US-101 South becomes I-5S. Take the Front ST exit –Exit 17 toward Civic Center. Stay Straight to go onto Front St. The Jail Facility will be on your left after the 2nd light. There is no parking except in metered spaces or in parking lots that charge a fee.

Take I-215 South towards Riverside. I-215 South becomes CA-91 West. Merge onto I-215 South toward San Diego/Indio. I-215 Souht becomes I-15 South. Keep Right to take CA -163 South. Take the I-5 North exit toward 4th Ave. Take the exit toward 4th Ave. Turn Left onto 4th Ave. Turn Right onto Ash St. Turn Left onto Front St. The Jail Facility will be on your left after the 2nd traffic light.
